There aren't many shoes more iconic than Converse All Stars! I've had these shoes for over 15 years and they've been a lot of places with me, including countless concerts. The painting's name is a nod to the Shoegaze genre of music of the 1980s and 1990s, where musicians were often detached and looking down at their feet during shows.
